What do we call this year?

Do we call it "twenty ten" or "two thousand and ten" or don't you mind which is used?

I think the decade nickname is far more tricky.

etc

What should it be called?

Tweenies?
Teenies?
Tens?

Yes that is a difficult one, I never liked the noughtis thing.

this might sound geeky so forgive me :nervous: but the calendar started in the year ad1 so in theory the decade starts in the year 2011, so what do we call the next decade the elevenses:biglaugh: yes i am drinking whisky as i write this, a nice 15 year old glenfiddich 1/2 bottle to go

Nearly finished 1/2 a bottle of Pata Negra (red) and 3/4 of the way down a bottle of Palo Alto (red) and the a bottle of Glenmorangie chilled in the fridge to serve straight (no ice/no water) when this bottle of red is dead.
