HELP!! Electrical Fault

My Heater/blower has stopped working, however until i can get it fixed i bought a cigarette lighter powered heater!! On the way to work today it stopped working due to the power to the socket stopping it would seem.

Then when I turned off the engine the dash went blank so I turned the ignition back on and the needles flickered and the clock reset.

I had to go into work – when I locked the car with the key the central locking didn’t kick in!!!!!!!

Aaarghh!! PLEASE HELP!! Everything is going wrong at once.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I'm with you on this one. That or a connection on the battery is loose. We'll see at 5:05 when they post again saying it won't start. :D

Those plug in heater/blowers normally pull about 12 Amps so has probably taken out the fuse for the lighter socket, which I think is shared with central locking and a few other items.

When my Golf fan stopped working, it was the resistor unit.
