Do I have a trip computer?

Just got a '99 Sharan (SE?) and one of the displays shows the driving time, which seems to reset if the car is left a while, together with a little figure 1 in the bottom corner, and a wee symbol of a clock. Are there other things I can make this display do like display fuel consumption? I have no manual...

[Hi I have a 2004 sharan with trip computer.It is a button on the end of the Wiper control column with the reset button close by.Hope this is of use to you.

No buttons on mine, but i did notice there is a wee MF on the display as well. I wonder if I have a replacement wiper stalk wi' no buttons, and original stalk had the required buttons... wouldn't be the only oddity on this car of mine, but then it was a bargain!
By the way - is the intermittent wipe variable? It certainly seems to vary but I can't work it out. Guess I'll have to look for a manual on ebay.

didn't have manual for my sharan, but went to vw, asked very nicely if they could order one,parts guy went in back of showroom and came out with one f.o.c worth a try:D
