Re: MMI 3G POI Brand Logos
If you go into the setup of your nav (content, if memory serves), you can select which POIs you want to display from a list. This appears to be the definitive list of entries.
There's a really good balti house near to me that's included. Not branded, obviously, but I'm impressed it's there! :)

Re: MMI 3G POI Brand Logos
I don't think that's what I mean, bear with me a second...
In that POI list you get "Petrol Stations"... but you don't get a choice between BP and Shell stations, do you?
I'm really asking - does anyone know what Brand Logos are included in the POIs? Because "Petrol Stations" is not a correct answer... the correct answer would be BP, Shell but not Tesco or Morrisons or any independent.
Likewise, places to eat and drink... the correct answer would be Starbucks and McDonald's, but not Domino's and any non-chain restaurant or any greasy spoon cafe, or van selling burgers in the lay-by.
You know what I mean? Does such a list of Brand Logo POIs exist? On my journeys, logos have been very far and few and, no, it's not a massive thing for me - I'm just curious and I remember some Audi of America chap boasting in an interview that these would be pretty cool and would grow over time...

Sorry Hippo - you're absolutely correct. I thought I'd seen entries for BP etc in the list, but on reflection I was probably thinking of the TomTom. I'm obviously heading fast towards wearing carpet slippers and dribbling into my soup all day! :)

Re: MMI 3G POI Brand Logos
Well, I'm just pondering how few logos I've seen and wondered if it was just where I drove... or whether there really aren't that many included. It is probably the latter... tho' you [I] would think any company would give their instant permission to have their brand logo included in navigation systems.
All I can remember seeing are petrol stations.
