alloys, size matters

you may have read i have just bouth an audi a3 mk1 shape. i am looking for information on alloy wheelse any help welcome:
- what size alloys will fit under the arches without having them rolled?
thats really my only main question but if any1 knows any alloys which would look good on my new motor any information would be grateful, if there are any pictures even better. i do like the multi spoke audi/vw alloys available but they are becomming to common now, so any other suggestions, and no chrome, quite fond on the the alloys featuring some black or in the grey colour.
