My 97 polo 1.4 starts, but dies straight away unless i keep my foot on the accelerator, i had throttle body changed and re apted to ecu but no difference. When warmed up it runs fine ! Anyone know why or a fix (preferably a cheap / quick fix , as am pretty skint )
what is the engine code?
Engine number is apq114017 or the middle bit of chassis number is 6nzwy , hope thats got it, cheers
I think the best thing to do is have a fault code read,or a long shot perhaps,but,try with a new temp sensor
Is it the same temperature sensor that works the temperature guage as the temp guage is fine ? So would changing it help ?
Yes it has a dual function,the gauge and the ECU,it has two internal senders
