Good news on road tax for over 225g/km

I bought my 1.8T S-line 190bhp quattro in January knowing the fact that the road tax (emissions tax) could go up to over £425 per year because it has emissions of 226 g/km.

I think this was the reason why i got it really cheap (7K for 2004 s-line) It was then that i noticed on the gov. website that cars with over 225 g/km and built (registered) before march 2006 which should have been put in group L had been moved up to group K, i.e £205 per year until at least 2010 /2011. (a good will gesture by the government during the recession)

I have now looked on the website and the words "until at least 2010 / 2011 have been deleted, so our 1.8T quattro's and Audi TT's etc looks like they will stay in band K.:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:biglaugh:!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well done Alistair Darling.
