Audi 80 Cabriolet stuttering (and stopping) - fuel pump??
If anyone has any ideas on this, I'd be really grateful!
Got a 2.3 Audi 80 Cabriolet (1993). Fuel pump has been really noisy since I bought it in May, and yesterday it started stuttering when I was driving it. Later on when I took it out again, it completely stopped dead. Managed to get it started with a bit of encouragement (haha!) and got home. I'm thinking it's probably the fuel pump and/or filter but what does everyone else think??
If it is the pump, how difficult are they to change? Think the filter's pretty easy??
Is there anything else that should be changed on these cars, as I've just replaced the started motor, and now this, it's so annoying!
Thanks for reading!

Re: Audi 80 Cabriolet stuttering (and stopping) - fuel pump??
Hello there Emma, I got same model but 1994 audi 2.3E cabriolet havent changed the fuel pump personally but mines gettin bit buzzy at mo had look and it doesnt look like too hard a job to do think its just matter of couple of union pipes and power to pump my fuel pumps behind driver side rear wheel. Hope this helps Lee. I would get the cambelts changed aswell and they should do tensioner at same time this cost me 300 quid about three years ago. To be honest mines slowly fallin to bits but im lookin at 2.8e 2000 final edition in same colour (burgundy).
