Anyway, when finished,we put everythin back on only to find when we took it for a run,the steerin wheel was 45' out,and the car pulled to the right..like it wanted to straighten up..(wen it pulled the steerin wheel wud straighten up)
This was late lastnight so earlier i took it back to ma mate who thought, the wheels might not have been on straight or the bottom arms wernt on proper..so we took them back off,put them on again and still nothin. The steerin wheel is still at an angle. When we go over a bump in the rtoad,it feels like its throwin us :o
anyone any ideas?

Sounds as if youhave either ;_
1 jacked the vehicle on a suspension piece and bent it
2 strut top bearing has got damaged / not settled in the correct place
3 engine mounts not back in correct position making drive shaft lean on hub
1 & 2 are the most likely in my view, have tracking checked, though might have put camber out as well
Re: steerin wheel at 45'o
thanks for the reply,it was number 2.the camber was out and needed adjusting..took it to vw yesterday morning and they sorted it :)
Think what i had done is when i attached the hub to the strutt i had pushed it in without realising and tightened it up without setling them straight.
Re: steerin wheel at 45'o
thanks for the reply, glad it is sorted!
