1998 Golf TDI- Fitting Radiator
Hi,
Firstly I would just like to say that I am new to this site and since purchasing my TDI golf (2 WEEKS AGO!)I have already found so much useful information on here so thanks for that!
My question is how complex is it to ghange the rad on a MK4 TDI Golf?
I seem to have a slight leak and as I am doing fairly high Milage it's not really ideal topping up the coolant on a daily basis.
I have managed to get a new replacement radiator through a contact at work and was wondering if it is DIY job or would i be better off taking it to a garage and asking them to fit it?
If I were to take it to a garage how much should i expect to pay for fitting?
as obviousley i will be supplying the rad.
Thanks in advance for any advice!

This is a DIY job. In short, it's a case of taking the bumper off the front, take bottom hose off, drain coolant, whip it out.
Buy a Haynes workshop manual and all the necessary steps will be in there.

See meathead's post from 6/8/09 for excellent link to item on bumper removal.
