Front Headrest removal and seat back protector removal
Guys
I really need help, No jokes please.............
Trying to fit a new integrated headrest DVD player into the front seat of my A4. I cant get the whole headrest to come out and have no idea where all the clips are for the back protectors.
Please help, Will buy anyone a pint at the GTI International this weekend to save my little boy getting board during the long 6 hour journey
Thanks

I tried getting the head rest out too but it keeps hitting the roof before the metal prongs clear the seat
Anyway seatback panel is shown here:

3 metal prongs are at the top of the panel, should unclip from these (with some force) and then the plastic clips at the bottom should slide up.
Re: Front Headrest removal and seat back protector removal
Have you tried reclining the seat back before removing the headrest?

ROFL
It's been a long day mate and I am supposed to be an engineer too :D
Re: Front Headrest removal and seat back protector removal
Thx guys, Pretty sure I can get the back of now, But how do you take the Headrests out, Will remember to recline the seats.
So far I have pulled the headrest out to the max and removed the little plastic bases, On the one without the 1/2 moon push in out I have removed the clip. Not sure what to do with the 1/2 moon one or if they are just meant to come off now.
How do I get them off from here. Hoping to fit the DVD player this afternoon before the long drive to the GTI Intnerational over the next 2 days.
Re: Front Headrest removal and seat back protector removal
On my drivers seat the seat back is loose at the bottom. Would I be right in thinking if I just pull at the top it will release from the three prongs and then I can re-fit it.
Re: Front Headrest removal and seat back protector removal
I would say yes, Looks like the clips at the bottom have popped out.
You dont know how to remove headrests do you :biglaugh:
