hi i'm looking for a spare flip key for my 2000 audi a4 my key number is 4D0837246B.
seen a few on ebay but with slightly different part numbers 'K' at the end instead of 'B' for example does anyone know what the last letter represents or what key would work on my car

i would not bother... as you will be unable to program it.. (none of this unlock door lock door.. put key in lock rubbish works..
You will have to take th key to Audi to be programed.. however when you cant prove you got the key from Audi they wont touch it.. (basicly they know keys are going cheap on ebay, hence why they dont touch them..)
Search the forum for KEY or Flip key and see the posts before.
Cheers

Flip keys from ebay will work, but ensure that you get the correct part, do not touch USA keys as the are a different frequency.
You will have to swap the transponder capsule from one of your old main keys into the new remote to enable ignition.
Synch your new key to the car for the remote locking to work, have a new blade cut, or swap blades if you have an existing flip key.
Away you go.
Alternatively if you are tired of the very poor range of the standard Audi remote get an aftermarket 'Remote Central Locking' kit or alarm. After retrofitting the original Audi remote locking system into my car i was uninpressed with it, so i am now using one of these 'Rightcklick' kits on my A4, two flip keys, 50m range, full closure etc. (Admittedly it looks more like a VW key than an audi)
