Roof Lining Rattle

Hi everyone, first post for me after having a quick search around these forums.

I've recently got my hands on a 1997 'P' A4.

Unfortunately i have the most irritating rattle on the roof lining right above my head. Im not even sure its always been there and its got worse or wether its something thats just cropped up recently. It happens most at low revs or when engaging the clutch, the small vibrations set off this rattle.

If i tap the roof lining with my palm (when stationary) it causes the same type of rattle, and then pressing/pushing up on the roof lining it does stop the rattle.

I've took a little look but it looks a pain to remove the lining so i was wondering if anyone has had similar problems or done anything regarding interior roof lining? I think it is getting worse and would like to do something about it. I imagine getting some foam pads under the culprit area would help but its getting them there thats the puzzle.

And yes i have a sunroof, which obviously affects matters :1zhelp:
