Hey all, I have a question regarding a strange sound coming from my 1.6 SR MK 4 Golf (95,000 miles, but reconditioned engine put in at 92,000 miles).
I can only describe it as airy/helicopter like, and it kicks in at around 10-15mph/ 1600 RPM when driving.
Sound comes regardless of windows being up/down, although you notice the sound more from inside the car.
One mechanic says my breather needs changing (one breather was already placed with the reconditioned engine), while the guys doing my MOT said it could be a wheel hub (and subsequently refused to perform the MOT with the sound coming from the car)...
Any suggestions guys?
