Which ISO adaptor for my Bose Chorus system?
Hi folks,
am looking to soon change out a factory fitted Bose (amplified) Chorus system. When I say bose amplified, I mean the speakers say bose on them - apart from that I wouldn't know! :Blush2:
I was told I need to get an adaptor from Audi - ISO to correctly handle the Bose amplifiers? I'm struggling to make sure I get correct one tho - they're £25 so I don't wanna get it wrong! :zx11:
Looking that THIS headunit, with THIS fascia adaptor, the antenna adaptor from THIS page, and ipod CONTROL CABLE
Which of THESE would be the correct adaptor.
(2001 'y' plate A4, saloon, 2.5tdi quattro)
I hope all that makes sense, let me know if not!
Thanks folks!
:biglaugh:
Re: Which ISO adaptor for my Bose Chorus system?
Hi folks, am having even bigger trouble now.
Placed a £200 order with in-car emporium and the only thing they got correct is my address :zx11:
The ipod cable doesn't fit the head unit, and the ISO adaptor was the wrong one for my car. :aargh4:
Any ideas? I'd even settle for a stereo that comes with bluetooth and ipod direct control as standard.....
Thanks!
Re: Which ISO adaptor for my Bose Chorus system?
Hi, you would need one of these:
http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/audi...or-p-2490.html
This takes the speaker cables from the BOSE amp and converts them to 2 RCA. You will need a HU that has 2 RCA connections, that Pioneer is OK as it has 3.
Regards to HU it all depends how much you wanna spend. I have the Alpine IDA-X305 which is like 250 great ipod control but no CD slot or built in Bluetooth (most HU you need to buy a further accessory to allow bluetooth).
This JVC seems to fit the bill and has built in bluetooth but again its around 250, it also looks like JVC are replacing it with a newer model:

I've used Car Audio Direct a number of times orders always correct and next day delivery too, nothing but good things to say about em.
Hope this helps

Thanks buddy, that's a huge help. Looks identical to the one the man in the local shop suggested but he wanted £50!!!
Thanks again mate!

No probs, its a simple box to just plug into the connection box for the BOSE amped speaker cables. The power etc can simply be connected using the loom you get with the stereo (least it was on my alpine)
Enjoy!!
