gamma or beta ???

whats the difference????

Beta only supports two output channels and has a single-play tape deck with no Dolby noise reduction facility. Gamma supports four output channels, has an auto-reverse tape deck and Dolby NR. Both units can however control a single-disc CD player or a changer I think.

ive just plugged my lg mp3 headunit in and found the vw wiring on the speakers like you say is only 2 outputs , im really dissapinted in vw , the stereo sounds crap , how can i get the 4 out puts to wrk on my lg stereo , do i have some serious wiring to do , also what will the vw speakers for this system be like fully powered up???

I recently bought a 2002 Bora ST which came with a Beta head unit. I don't have any rear speakers fitted so if you have a Beta unit as well you may need to install and wire some rear speakers.
