Mine is screwed on, but I know some are on self adhesive patches
Sorry, should have been more specific. The plate has two plastic' caps' appearing to be screw covers. However, they don't seem to pull off, one turns but won't come out. I wonder if there are hidden captive nuts behind somewhere - I can't see them and hoped someone may have had experience of this!
They are screw covers. If you get a thin bladed screwdriver and try and prise off the top where there is a seam then it should uncover the screw.
