im not sure if this would be practical or not but now that the decent weather is aproaching is would a set of semi slick tyres provide better traction, breaking and cornering than ordinary tyres ??
just a thought !!

In a word.... No
They'd get chewed up by our great British roads.
Nick
lol... you mean the rough un even and bumpy surfaces ??
ahh right i see, was just an idea... i get your point though, think i'll just forget it and stick with decent road rubbers.
cheers mate !
I ran kuhmo v600 semi slicks during last summer when I couldn't be bothered to change my wheels back after a trackday. :D They were really good on the road and grip in 2nd gear was brilliant. However in the wet they were a little dodgy - They were still fine on damp roads, but once serious standing water and heavy rain was involved you would have to be ultra careful on corners.
They're for sale now though, along with the 16" golf GTI alloys they're wrapped around. :D
been a while since i seen a post from you mate, i know avon do some semi slick tyres, just wondered how good they'd be.
im running on avon zz3's at the mo, great in the wet even better in the dry, just wondered if the semi slicks were any better!!
