super plus unleaded with 2.0TFSI
Hi I would just like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas.
I have on order an A4 S line with the 2.0TFSI engine just would like peoples opinion on running in, and should I run on standard unleaded or super plus?
Many thanks,
Greg.
On Order,
2009 A4 S Line, Lava Grey, Piano black inlays, Executive pack (leather alcantara, symphony stereo, cruise control, phone prep low), Interior light pack, B&O, heated seats and folding mirrors.
Re: super plus unleaded with 2.0TFSI
I run my 3.0tdi on v-power, and if I had a TFSI I would put premium in it, you get a few extra miles, and to be quite honest, with the way petrol prices are right now, it's a good time to find out :)
Merry Xmas btw!
Re: super plus unleaded with 2.0TFSI
I have the 2.0TFSI in my octavia vRS, the fuel consumption is noticeably better using 97 ron fuel rather than 95. Power deliver is better aswell

Many thanks Dan for the information. Think I will be trying the super unleaded and gauge the results, would be keen to know what people recommend for running in.

Greg.

Re: super plus unleaded with 2.0TFSI
Put it this way, after trying both fuels I never run on anything but 97 ron unless 95 ron is the only thing I can get
Re: super plus unleaded with 2.0TFSI
Ive got a 1.8 TFSI. I use v-power , tescos 99 ron and Super unleaded if Im not within reach of the first two. At under a pound a litre its certainly worth getting. More responsive and more miles per tank but i find myself using the fast pedal more so I end up using it all pretty quickly.
I run mine in after following the directions in the manual, less than 3K rpm for the first 1500kms i think it says.

Totally agree :approve: Had a S3 and now have a 3.0TDI V-power etc are the better option
Re: super plus unleaded with 2.0TFSI
hows the 3.0TDI compare with the S3, was it the old S3 or the latest? does it feel like a faster car than the S3?

S3 all the way. What a engine 2.0TFSI is!! the 3.0TDI is still rapid and smoother but the S3 is more fun :D That why I ordered another one
Re: super plus unleaded with 2.0TFSI
reason I ask is, im looking to switch from my octavia vRS which is running around 250 - 260 bhp to an A4 3.0TDi, no doubt I will remap too. I feel like it will be an upgrade but i've not yet driven one, then again getting away from front wheel drive will be nice
