Hey guys! Ive recently bought a 98 audi a3 1.8t.
Ive got a problem with heating. When i drive the car, the temps fall down and when its on idle for around 5-10mins the temp will slowly start to go over the 90c.
I took it to a mechanic and he said my thermostat and water pump is fine. The fan doesnt seem to spin at all? He checked the fan switch and theres no spark goin into the cables.
Now i need to know which fuse is related to the fan?
Also could it be my relay?
That says to me that the thermostat is either stuck open or has been removed to cover up a weak water pump. There is also the possibly that the temperature sender is faulty which is very common as well.
hmm well he did get some cables with a light bulb to see if there was any power going through, but both cables failed. Fan never spins??Quote:

Ehh! This is a road draught issue, not a fan run problem... Is this mechanic VAG experienced? You need a fault code read and coolant temp sender output check on the screen plus a drive/road draught cooling check.Quote:
