Buying advice

Hi,

I'd like to tap into the million years of experience you probably have between you.

I've had a Mk3 Avantgarde Cabriolet (94 M, 2.0 8v) for 6 months and decided I'd like a metal roof and air con after a very wet and muggy summer.

The Mk3 is great and I'd like a slightly younger model.

Could you advise me on the best model given that I have about £1500 plus the cabrio to trade?

I'd like a reliable car and it doesn't have to be rocket powered.

Try and get yourself a nice mint VR6 Highline, they're a lovely car to own and drive. ;)

failing the above, keep the cabrio like i have and drop in a VR6 lump, a good conversion, and with the roof down you can hear the engine roar.

I think he's after a car with aircon though for the muggy summers.
