camshaft drive belt replacement
Hello all
I've been looking through the service schedule for my A3 2.0FSI (2003). It seems to indicate the change interval for the camshaft drive belt is 115,000 miles. Conventional wisdom has always told me to change a cambelt after 60,000. Does anyone have any experience good or bad with the cam belt and can make any recommendations? (don't worry - I won't hold you to it if anything bad happens!)
Cheers
Re: camshaft drive belt replacement
Audi recommend it to be done @ 115k in the book, but I have known of them to break before that interval. For piece of mind I have done them @ 80k.
It is usually every 5 years if that comes before the mileage is due to.
Kind regards
Lee
