Passat B5 Central Locking

Hi, I have just bought a 52 plate Passat which has a small problem with the selective central locking. when i press unlock once on the key fob the drivers door unlocks only and on the second press no other doors unlock. using the key in the door one turn unlocks just the drivers door and a second turn unlocks all doors and the tailgate (tailgate lock permitting)

The manual discribes this status (page 27) saying ask your dealer to change

I have used VAG-COM to change the comfort system (46) recode (7) from 00258 which is selective unlocking to 00259 unlock all doors. This works as you would expect one press of the remote unlocks all doors.

Finally my question is does any one know of how I can change my car back to proper selective opening using VAG-COM?

Also there were no fault codes recorded in the comfort system computer.
