VW Bora/ Volvo S40?

Hello folks. This is my first message and more importantly my first VW. I have just bought a Bora. I got it from a VW main agent in Darlington. I have always been a Volvo man and i'm hoping that it'll be a rewarding as my previous Volvos. I have had a cursory read through Bora on this site and it appears there are issues with water ingress. Can anybody shed more light on this problem. Surely, as the Bora is a development of the mk4 golf does this problem affect the golf too? Are there any specific servicing items that can be problematical, i never had any problems with Volvos. My favourite Volvo being a 1999 T plated S40 also bought from a main agent some 5 years back and it was a stunning and totally reliable car. I have just unloaded an excellent Audi A4, bought this because the Volvo i went to view at a Volvo specialist in Yorks Hospital Fields Road was a bag of s--t and through frustration i went elsewhere and bought the Audi, a remarkably low mileage of just 15960 miles, on a T plate that is excellent and so the car proved to be. I hope my 2.0 SE Bora lives up to my expectations. Hope to hear from you soon.:beerchug:
