Gearbox Differences?

Hi all, I just aquired a 2001 Passat TDi 130 estate which is fitted with a 6 speed gearbox. My brothers Passat TDi130 is fitted with a 5 speed box. I have searched around the web but cannot find any real information on what's different about them - I would really like to know what the gear ratios are for both boxes. Haynes manual is a waste of time (in fact pretty useless for most things I find) so I have drawn a blank.....

I wouldn't know the gear ratios, but the 5 speed has the AWX engine code. Usually the 6 speed is slightly better for re-mapping, because you could add about another 15 Nm of torque. However some people complain that the 6 speed versions require too frequent gear changes, so they prefer the 5 speed.

It's personal preference really.
