am i being a numpty or is it just not working?

Hey new to the vag-com thingy..... but really want to do the basic adaptations, anti-hijack on/auto unlock on, horn beep on unlock/lock.............

im getting to the correct part in the vag-com through the "central conv"......... change the options from a "0" to a "1" to turn it on...... click save.... says are u sure..... obviously i am......

then when i look again.... its back to default :confused::confused::confused::confused::confused: :confused::confused::confused:

am i a numpty am i missing something??

are you testng it before you save ? also it it a registared version ?

from what i can remember i had to test it before i could save ( version 409.1 ) and i think it has to be a registared version to save to the flash memory

it seems it does an auto test (the test button is greyed out) and yes its a registared version says in the "about" button "fully registered / activated"

btw this is on a VW Bora 2002 "1J" motor.....

Channel 03 Auto Lock (auto locks car after 10mph)
Channel 04 Auto Unlock (unlock the car when u take the key out)

Single Door Unlock
46 – Cent Convenience
07 - Recode

The single door unlock give an even number i.e. 00064. To make all the doors unlock with one press, just add 1 i.e. 00065

Lock / unlock beeps
46 – Central convenience
10 - Adaption
Channel 05 Unlock, horn sounds (not a horn, more like a beep when u unlock)
Channel 06 Lock, horn sounds (same as above only other way around)
Channel 07 Unlock, turn signals flash (easy)
Channel 08 Lock, turn signals flash (easy)

yer i know how to do it and where, but it seems not to save the settings i set...... any idea why?
