Golf mk4 oil warning light / ratterling

HI, ive bought a golf 1.8t had it 4 weeks and the oil pressure light kept coming on and after a while it started rattleing so i decieded to take the sump off because ive heard there known for the oil pick up to block up so i though it was the tappets makeing the noise i took the sump off and it was blocked up with sludge and metal fileing and bits off metal in bottom of sump so got a new pick up and changed oil built it back up and its still the same.

What damage have done. think the big ends gone and scored barrle because it blowing air out off oil cap.

Any idears whats happend and a rough price it will cost me :zx11:? Wud i be better picking a new bottom end up???????????????/:mad:
