Best way to increase BHP on 19 TDi

Hi all am new to the forum and can I just say there seems to be some very intresting info on here so I was wondering if some one can give advice on what chip or tuning I can have done to my 1997 Passat 19 TDi 90bhp to give more BPH. I have been used to driving an Impeza and a Golf GTI before the Passat so it is very flat in comparison to GTI etc. Unfortinaly rising fuel and insurance costs made me move on to a Diesel. Although the passat is a far better ride than the Subaru I am crying out for a bit more power. Also at what cost approx would it be to have it chiped etc and also were can this be done in the East Yorkshire (Hull) area.

i had a skoda octavia 90 bhp and i was going to get it chipped the lad at the garage which does the chipping told me it could be took up to 130 bhp and it would not cause any harm to the motor for a cost of 500 and he said id get better fuel economy i never had it done cos i bought a passat 130 but the lad knew what he was talking about im assuming the skoda has the same engine as your passat hope this helps ps im from geordieland so i dont know anyone from hull area that does it try looking on ebay

Hi I could have the answer to your problem, I have used a Tunit box (straight plug & play) with excellent results on both my 90bhp passat and seat alhambra. Having moved on to an Octavia 110bhp the unit is destined for fleabay, drop me a line.

have a look at ben's website Shark Performance he has his company on here he remapped my passat and has not missed a beat since. great guy tells you everything you need to know and is a great help if you ever need him!!!!

hi how much for your tuning box will it fit 90bhp passat
