1997 A4 1.8 SE rear speaker troubles

Hi, I have the above vehicle fitted with an aftermarket alpine head unit.

I get no sound out of the rear speakers, and only when fader is on full rear can you just about hear something.

Im guessing this is something to do with the way the head unit has been wired in? Any suggestions?

Depending on your stereo and setup (Bose/non-Bose etc) the front speakers are powered by the headunit, but the rear amp/speakers are only sent a pre-amp signal.

Amp needs power?
