Re: to buy or not to buy 150
Can't help on everything I am afraid but from experience of owning a TT180 for 3 years:
You don't necessarily need the upgraded alloys. It's easy to get them on ebay afterwards depending on what you want of course. I wanted to go from 16's to 17's and so many people were fitting the later 18's the choice of second hand 17's was huge.
If a car has been properly looked after 61k is nothing these days. Depends how much of the service history and ownership history you have. We had a 2001 model and took it from 42k to 50k.
How many miles do you do? Running costs of our TT were very low because it was my partners run around. Biggest issue we had was having to replace the quattro haldex drive control unit. £960 fortunately the supplying non franchised dealer paid for it!
Re: to buy or not to buy 150
i cant say officially that a 150 is bad, but when buing my 180 people constantly said to avoid the 150 like the plague! said it was a bit gutless.
for me (being only 20) the difference in insurance for 190/225 was about £50.
as i said, totally opinion not fact.
Re: to buy or not to buy 150
Hi I've just bought a 54 reg Moro Blue 180 Quattro Coupe with Anis yellow interior (looks much like your pictures) and amongst other things bought it for the colour and interior as most are black or grey. It also has 18" split rim BBS alloys. Absolutely love it.
Re 150 will it be harder to trade when you want to?
If you have more budget than the car, why not use it on the insurance which should come down- hopefully.
What warranty comes with it? I got mine from an Audi dealer and it has 12 months
