limp home mode
Hi Folks
A bit of an ongoing issue here, i have the usual fault over 2.5 k revs in 4th or 5th ( usually just touching 80 mph) its a 1998 afn 1.9 tdi , all hoses, air flow:confused: meter, n75 valve at turbo was changed yesterday, its still the same.
The original vag com fault was relating to the n75 it was charge pressure indifferance. Im now thinking the turbo is sticking , is there a way of cleaning this without stripping it .I have also read that the ecu has a pipe in it , my ecu does not, there also doesnt appear to be any lever to move to free off the turbo veins, only the pipe from the n75 that goes onto turbo!!
Can anyone confirm if my model should have a hose to ecu/ actuator lever?
Sorry if im vague etc i havnt got vacom on it since fitting the n75 valve.
Can anyone help please?

Re: limp home mode
ive just checked the old valve and im getting 15 ohms across it , ive read that as long as its between 14-18 its fine, I wish i had checked this first saved 65 quid
ive had another look and definatley no actuator near turbo just the hose coming from the n75 valve
Guys can anyone advise, i was thinking of spraying carb cleaner into pipe on the turbo that the n75 valve connects to and leave it soaking to see if this helps, But Im concerned that upon start up it may go into over run and rev its head off .
Please guys can anyone help??
Phil
