Glow Plugs

While driving my 2003 TDI the glow plugs light flashes and the Traction control system light comes on. Any suggestions?

Great, thanks for that herby. This is obviously something I need to sort out but will it cause any further damage if using my car in the mean time?

The brake pedal switch is likely to cause these seemingly unrelated flashing warning lights, but I don't actually know whether traction control is affected. Give the wheels a hard spin and see, I suppose.
