I have an A6 3.0 TDI on order & am considering getting an ECU remap on delivery. Has anyone had the 3.0 TDI 233 remaped & if so who did it & how did it affect the car performance? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I have the 233 engine in my A6, and have wondered about this. Is there any way this can be done with dealership approval (so as not to invalidate the warranty?)
Everything I have read indicates that the remap is undectable by your dealer?
If the engine goes bang a good tech will know if its been remapped by looking at the wear and tear inside the engine: burned/chipped valves, scored cylindres bores, bent rods and so on. Sometimes they can even know by looking at the info stored inside the ECU/engine controllers providing they know where to look, of course :-).
