Re: Parking sensor issues.
The unit provides the voltage, one of the sensors is causing this. You bring up the voltage in measuring blocks and unplug them one at a time waiting for the voltage to come back, I like to torture my techs so I make them start front left knowing the law according to sod dictates it is the rear right. New sensor 1S0 919 275 C GRU (primer) £139.20 all in.
Re: Parking sensor issues.
Could also be the plug or wire in the loom, my car is getting a new front sensor loom on Monday as the parking system stopped working. VCDS said front left sensor faulty but moving sensors around didn't change anything - it always said front left fault.
Re: Parking sensor issues.
Thanks Crasher.
Looks like that is this weekend's job then!
Re: Parking sensor issues.
Thanks Gareth - I'll swap a sensor round before I buy one to double check.
Re: Parking sensor issues.
I should probably have asked what voltage it should be.... I'm seeing 4.7v all plugged in, then 5v with the front left unplugged (what a sod they are to get at when you're making it up as you go along!)
Re: Parking sensor issues.
You should see circa 12v when the faulty one is unplugged.
