Randomly cutting out

My daughter has an intermittent issue with her 2008 polo that it will randomly cut out. It’s done it a few times while she’s been driving, but she had an issue the other day when she was sat at traffic lights with her foot on the brake and the steering wheel light flashed on the dash and then it cut out.
I have checked wires to the battery and the visible wiring - nothing seems wrong

Has anyone had this before ? Grateful for any advice

You'll need to get it checked for fault codes to see if anything is logged.

maybe if 1 knows o8 polo does not mean a thing petrol or diesel 1.2 1.4 engine code would tell alot
