Hi, swapped my vw cc for an Audi a7 s line 3.0tdi v6 204ps. Fairly high in the miles but it's a one owner car and looks and feels it. 110k miles.
So I have a list of things to look into.
Biggest concern is the timing chain rattle at cold start, 1-2 seconds then goes away (top drivers side engine), I'm planning an oil flush and drain then fill liquimoly ceratec and Castrol 5w30. We will see how it sounds after that. A quick fix until Xmas is out the way is drain the oil through the dipstick tube however I can't pull the small black plug off the metal tube, it turns and I've tried pulling at different rotations and I even got a metal rod through and tried pulling but it's fairly on there, any ideas before I break it?
Rear spoiler works fine manually until it tries to activate at speed where I get a malfunction, after that it stays 80% up until I turn off the car then it won't operate with the switch. It does however reset itself for the next day. I have 2 fault codes 03132 03134 I'll look further into this after the major mechanicals have been taken care of. I suspect water ingress into the module that controls the spoiler. Rear right boot compartment possibly? Maybe somebody could give a couple pointers for now.
Air con smells, and it doesn't really feel cold unless it's turned down below 18 degrees, pressure shows as 5bar in Carista so maybe just a recharge needed. I'll get my garage to do this job.
Lower control arms need replaced, rattles over bumps and heavy breaking. It's the single lower rear arms I believe, I'll get under the car and locate the parts over my break, this is information from the seller. I wonder if I can source just the bushes I have a press so if arms are good maybe go cheap route.
Gearbox is multitronic unit. Takes a while to go when I press the accelerator. Also it doesn't hold on small inclines, like most other autos I've had. I'm hoping a service will tighten this up, anything I need to worry about, I won't be taking it to Audi my local garage serviced my dads panamera pdk gearbox using genuine Porsche parts and did a perfect job.
Shame the forum doesn't have image upload support on iOS
