High idle, white smoke in third and fourth

Hi all,

my golf gt tdi 140 cbab has developed a problem where as soon as I go over 2000 revs in third or fourth I will get plumes of white smoke and the idle will go up to around 1000rpm and stay there.

I’ve done the obvious steps for dpf regeneration like long run in high gears and it’s still the same.

no error codes

injector values have been checked and all look good also.

read a thread on unpluging the MAF sensor and this rectified the problem but also throws a engine management code.

I’m thinking maybe a dpf pressure sensor ?

Does Basic Settings have an Air Mass Meter plausibility test function?
