P2015 repair bracket incorrect
Hi all, I bought the repair bracket to fox the above fault but it doesn't fit. I can attach it to the actuator OK but my manifold looks different to all the ones on the pictures from the sellers websites
I've double checked my engine code and it matched the description for the bracket
Any ideas?
Gonna Google for the next hour to try and find a different bracket then I'll have to re assemble the intake if I can't find one
(2 bolts in the bracket for illustration purposes only to hold the bracket in place for the picture)https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...4a0e1a25fb.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...d62bddfe58.jpg

I have tried them, they don’t generally fix the issue for long in my opinion.

Can you see a part number on your actuator, and on the seller's descriptions? They look very similar in the images you posted - what is different?

Yup, the actuator part number was the same as on the description of the bracket.
Managed to get around the problem by cutting a thread into the hole on the opposite end of the bracket so I could bolt it on
Engine management light off, finally

Re: P2015 repair bracket incorrect
So, turns out I had bought the wrong bracket. Apologies all round
Bought another one for my manifold, nearly the same as the previous bracket but with the threaded hole on the other side. Secured it in place but noticed the intake flaps still went past full-open. So used a dremel to take a little off the inside of the bracket and glued the top of a pen lid to the top of the adjuster arm on the mechanism itself. Result - the flaps only open as far as full-open. At present the engine management light hasn't come back on.
I've attached some pics so hopefully you can see what I mean.....
Lesson learned, order the right part AND cheap fixes often require a little adjustment https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...73133f1e40.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...14c66472fe.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...d96ac4f4ab.jpg
