Inner ‘Stop Lights’ not working on TT 225 MK1 8N
Hi, I need your help/advise please.
I have an Audi TT MK1 225cc coupe that I have owned for 17 years and it has recently developed a problem with the stop lamps that has baffled me.
The outer stop lamp bulbs light up as they should do when I press the brake pedal (as does the stop lamp above the parcel rack), but the inner stop lamps bulbs on the “offside and “driveside” light cluster don’t work.
I bought two new bulbs but that has made no difference.
I swopped the bulbs around from outer to inner knowing that the outer stop light bulbs definitely work, but they don’t work when I put them in the inner bulb holders.
I have another pair of light clusters that I bought from Ebay and so I connected them up to the pigtails and I still have the same problem.
I changed the brake light switch today just in case there was a duel circuit (but apparently not because that hasn’t cured the problem).
And so I am at a loss as to what else could be causing the problem with the inner stop light bulbs on both the left and right hand side light cluster?
Your help would be much appreciated.
It has been brought to my attention that the Audi TT MK1 only has two brake lights, and so therefore there is nothing wrong with my lights and so please ignore my request for help!
Many thanks,
Peter
