SQ7 Power Loss Issue / Popping Noise

Evening all,

Having an intermittent issue with my 2017 Audi SQ7.
Occasionally I’ll feel a loss of power and at the same time the boost gauge will fluctuate rapidly followed by a “popping” noise from the engine bay

I’ve had the car in with two separate Audi dealerships who cannot replicate the fault while the car is in with them. There are no error/fault codes stored on the ecu either so their answer is that they cannot do anything.

I noticed another user on here had the exact same issue, I pm’d and he replied advising that there was a TSB on this particular issue which he was going to email over to me but unfortunately I haven’t heard back from him

Does anyone have any info regarding this issue or the TSB?

hi, its the CZA engine code
4.0L TDI

It could be CZAA or CZAC but I expect it is the 320Kw CZAC. The turbo's on these are a joke, they have been revised five times since your car was built

any idea in regards to the TSB on these? Audi are refusing to acknowledge the fault, as the car is covered under extended warranty i want them to sort it out ideally

In my offline system I could not see a TPI, there may be one on erWin, it could be worth €10 finding out.

Have you managed to fix this issue >?? I have the same problem,changed some expensive parts ,still same ..power /boost drops plus turbo 1 surges instantly when this is happening .
