HELP NEEDED:- 54 Reg Split Grill to Big Grill Conversion

Hi there. Just looking for a bit of advice. I have just bought an A3 54 Reg and it is the split grill model, the one before the big grill model. I thought all was ok and I could just buy the newer big grill and stick it on but I have now been informed that to do this you also need to replace the BONNET!!! Is this true? I have had a look at the curve at the front end of the bonnet on both my car and my mates car who has the big grill and they seem to be the same so do I really have to replace the bonnet too????

Coincidentally I found out about this the other day from Audi, as I was asking if it was possible to fit the ‘splitter’ from the face-lift S-line to my 2005 S-line. Apparently not and I would need the whole bumper assembly…. And a new bonnet.

Does anyone know if you can buy the black grill pack for the 2 piece grill?

new bonnet as of the shape and style of the grill. Also needed is new grill surrounds for fog lamps and grill and of course the new bumper. (need to be painted and fitted)

Also be sure your getting it for the right model. As the s-line fog lamps are diff to the sport version

I have just done it and yes you do need a new bonnet! different fog lamps, the plugs need changing for the fog lamps a new crossmember a pair of fog lamp grills!

I could possibly get all the part numbers you need if that helps?
