Need help with P0299 - 2.0 TDI CR engine

I own a 2.0 TDI CR with engine code CBEA
Started the car in the morning and the low oil pressure light came on. I stopped and drove for maybe 3 kms at the most at a low speed. Shortly after the glow plug light started flashing and it displayed engine fault. I had the car towed and inspected the most common problem and found the problem for the low oil pressure. It was the hex carrier that was stripped. Now that the oil pressure issue has been fixed I keep getting a P0299 code and the car has no boost. I checked the wastegate and it moves when vacuum is applied so that rules out the issue with that part. Also checked the exhaust flap and it is not stuck. Does anyone have any suggestions before I start condemning the turbo charger ? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thats underboost and the usual reason is a vacuum leak so I would guess a hose has been knocked/left off BUT the actuator moves so possible a boost hose is leaking.
