2007 Golf GT, no start, No ECM communication
Hi experts,
I have an electrical gremlin in my golf.
Scan tool communicates with everything but the ECM, Found codes P1850, 18258, 01314, With reference to TSB 01.07.54.
The ECM main relay doesn't seem to be switching on, checked all the fuses and wiring continuity from fuse box, earth, and ECM master plug.
My next thought is to find how the ignition powers the ECM to start with. I would have thought the ignition turns on a relay that turns on the ECM.

The ignition switch can fail but will leave a code in the steering column controller electrics. This unit sends a command to the central electrics unit which operates a Line 15 relay which power the ECU but it varies according to engine code and model equipment, private message me your reg and I can tell you more.
