Another P2015 Problem :( - Engine light ON

Hi All,

I'm recently purchased an Audi a4 b8 with a few problems which I need to solve. Biggest one for me atm is the P2015 problem.

Things I've done:
1.) Bought a VAG COM
2.) Changed the v157 motor with a second hand one (P2015 bracket already installed). Unfortunately it did not solve the problem.
3.) I bought a brand new v157 motor.

Before paying to change the motor again.. I was hoping to get a little advice.

My mechanic has recommended that I also change the swirl flap lever thing which the V157 motor spring connects to as this can sometimes be the issue... looking on fleabay I found a swirl flap repair kit

This is a little extortionate I thought as its £46 for a piece of plastic and a spring.

Is there somewhere I can source these parts at more reasonable prices or should I just change the intake manifold with a second hand one? Also is there anything else I could try to tell whether this is really the problem? Could I do anything else to debug the problem?

The problem is the V157 is no longer the anti shudder flap, it is the motor on the side of the inlet manifold and VAG do a delete kit.

Thanks for the reply, I actually change this motor with a second hand one. I have a new one.. but this delete idea sounds good! Do you by any chance know of a guide I can show my local mechanic to do it?

Also if there are any decent mechanics in Hertfordshire or North London??? it would make things so much easier :)

No I was wrong on this one, the V157 is still the flap unit before the EGR valve and the inlet manifold is V183 with G513. The V157 is VAG part number 03L 128 063 AF, what did you fit?

Just the motor which by the looks of things fits before the throttle body

To be precise ... I had the following part fitted ->

VW 03L 129 086

For AUDI A3 A4 A5 A6 Q5 TT 2.0 TDI Intake Manifold Flap Actuator Motor NEW | eBay

Originally it would have been 03L 129 063, then B, C, D, E and finally AF. The part in the link is the manifold motor V183/G513, not the V157 throttle body. 03L 129 086 does not exist.
