CCWA crank pulley failure.

Just a heads up. My 2010 b8 ccwa 3.0tdi owned from new had a crank pulley failure luckily as I was pulling out of the driveway. No power steering, alternator and most importantly no water pump is the immediate result. The vulcanised rubber had sheared and failed. 130k miles on the clock.
Interestingly I checked it a few 1000 back as the 3.0tdi had a history of this happening and it looked externally fine. So if yours is of a similar age and miles it might be worth replacing if you've got the front bumper removed.

There was a “campaign” over this, you normally get a vibration warning a little time before it goes.
