Please Help Passat estate B8 trailer lights wiring

Hi all. First post about my new GTE estate.

Looking for advice on what to do about a rear mounted bike carrier lighting board.
I have bought a Saris Bones 3 cycle carrier.

Halfords sell a kit for the wiring and a separate lighting board. All in £60. But I am NOT going to mess with the electrics, so would like to know if anyone has done this, or had someone install the wiring kit.... and how much it would cost ?
OR
Is there an alternative? I have seen cheaper kits on fleabay but I am no expert and don’t want to have some Jean Michel Jarre light show every time I indicate. So any help and advice would be greatly appreciated
Oh and I don’t want a tow bar.
