New recall > pedestrian safety issue

Hi everyone,

Had my Audi service guy on the phone today. He mentioned there is another recall issued for my car. If I understood well, it has something to do with pedestrian safety on a possible impact. They need the car for an hour.

Will update this thread when I know more details.

Yes it's campaign 55K2 and it amends the bonnet hinges.

Looks to be all Q7 4Ms from MY16....

Technical background:

On Audi Q7 vehicles manufactured within a specific period, the bonnet hinge mechanism may
become jammed if the pedestrian protection system is triggered.

Remedy:

The bonnet hinges must be serviced on the vehicles affected.
