MMI & Tune2Air device

Hi all,

I have a 2008 A6 c6 and have the AMI in the glove box (from what i know and read its a 2g version). I've bought a tune2air 3000a to plug into the AMI, which i did and there was nothing, no blue light on the device. So after a bit of reading, id read it needs its own power supply. It does have a mini usb plug in the back of it. Sure enough that does allow the tune2air to power up and my phone can connect to it. However, i cannot for the life of me get my MMI to see it. Just says, "no device connected....".

Has anyone actually got one of these tune2air devices working?

Hi mate,

Its ok, im the same person you spoke to on the AudiOwners forum (critical_mass) but have a different user name on here.

I did update to 5570, still no luck. So gone to using a 64gb pen drive and not looked back. Works just fine. :-)

Nah, gave up in the end and just use a pen drive via a cheap amazon mmi to USB cable working just fine. [emoji16]

Hi I have a tune2air in my 2009 A6 avant and have had no problems connecting to it with my iPhone. Have you checked that your ami cable is working as I don’t have to use a separate power cable for the tune2air to power up.

I had a bovee which had no connection to power it from USB and it had its own ami cable. Didn't work.

Also tried a tune to air which had an integrated cable and it wouldn't power up without a USB cable connected to it and the cig lighter plug.

Knocked it on the head anyway and just use a ami to USB cable bought off amazon and a pen drive. Works no problems so I'll just continue that way.
