2014 mk7 golf GTD
Hey guys I'm thinking of buying the above car,it's white and has all the toys with it..
The car has (FVWSH) but has 121k (English motorway miles) on it, would this bother yous at all??
The dealer told me he would belt the car for me and do the water pump and also service the car for me..
The price of the car is £10999
Get back to me with answers asap
Thanks and much appreciated all your help :D

Re: 2014 mk7 golf GTD
If you are buying from a VW dealer the price sounds ok to me for a properly serviced car with brand new cambelt and water pump. I assume the tyres and brakes are all top notch and you'll be getting a VW used car warranty. The mileage wouldn't worry me if it drives perfectly and I'd had a long test drive to test the clutch and gearbox.

Totally agree with comments above, they can easily handle the miles, it should all still feel tight when you try it out

Cheers for the reply.. It's not from a VW dealer, but it is from a well known dealer, he seems very legit..
When I asked him if the car had ever been damaged or touched up or painted,he said NO never, the only thing that
got painted was the wheels.. He said he wanted to refurb them cos 2 of them was kind of scabby (1inch on each rim)
So he said he got the whole of them sprayed... the car is really tight and certainly doesn't drive like a car with 121k on it.
He said it was a company lease car so anything it needed the car got it.. no expense spared

In that case let the buyer beware!

Can you explain what you mean? Cheers

Re: 2014 mk7 golf GTD
Only that if I was buying such a car from a non VW franchised dealer or specialist then I would be very careful. I would need to be sure that the cambelt replacement and service was going to be carried out by a VW specialist to VW standards using genuine VW parts.
So far you say that the car has a FVWSH and I would be keen to maintain the integrity of that.
I would also examine the track record of the proposed seller by exploring feedback left by previous customers.
Good luck. Let us know how you get on after you've bought it if you decide to go ahead.
