Dipping headlights to the right when abroad

Can anyone tell me whether the standard halogen headlights on the GOLF 7 can be dipped to the right for travelling on the continent?
According to the ElsaWin info my dealer offered, the lights don't need to be changed - but that suggests they have a narrow beam without the "kick up" on the left that illuminates the pavement edge in the UK. :confused:
I am interested because I'm thinking of buying a Golf 7 and would like to know if I have to order LED lights or some such in order to drive safely abroad.
